Boat stays sunk

THE narrowboat that sank in Osney Lock on the Thames after it broke free of its moorings is still in the bottom of the lock.

Though this happened as far back as last November, it looks like staying there until at least the end of the month, Alan Tilbury reveals.

No attempt

This morning, Friday, an Environment Agency spokesman told that they will not even attempt to remove the boat until the river flow is down to a safer level.

With more rain, this is not expected to happen for at least two weeks.
