Jamie Oliver offering recipes

TELEVISION chef Chef Jamie Oliver will be offering recipes live by satellite at Burscough Wharf's Christmas festivities on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

The Mayor and Mayoress of West Lancs will arrive on the narrowboat Blue Swan to switch on the wharf's Christmas lights at 6pm on 2nd December.

Entertainment

Immediately after the switch on there will be entertainment including carol singers from local primary schools and Jamie Oliver will be offering his recipes by satellite link.

There will be a selection of  stalls at the wharf, with local stores open for late night shopping until 9pm, including an appearance of Father Christmas.

Other activities will take place throughout the month, with the finale on Christmas Eve with live music.
