Can't find Keith

THE fish-eating seal in the Severn, known as Keith, is doing well to evade capture, with all the efforts by the Mercia Inshore Search and Rescue to move it to the sea being in vain.

But the capture is further thwarted in that the lock where they were hoping to snare the seal is now closed for winter maintenance, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Possibly two

Conservation group Natural England granted a licence to have the seal relocated away from the river to the sea, after many complaints from the anglers that the female seal was living on their fish.  But then there is also the possibility that there are now two of them.
