New minister

THE new waterways minister appointed to replace Richard Benyon MP is Dan Rogerson MP, Lib Dem Member for North Cornwall.

So following Richard who was very much involved with the Kennet & Avon Canal we once again have a waterways minister with no major waterway within his constituency—just the limited Bude Canal. (Bude Canal gets support.)

Title

His title is Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Water, Forestry, Rural Affairs and Resource Management, who before becoming a minister was Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on cheese.

He has been a MP for North Cornwall since 2005, serving on the House of Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee and other duties.
