Woman assaulted on Staffs & Worcs towpath

A WOMAN who uses the towpath of the Staffs & Worcs Canal around Kidderminster has been sexually assaulted whilst out jogging on her own.

She was stopped by one of two men illegally riding a motorbike on the towpath near Caldwall Lock, with one assaulting the woman in her 30's after approaching her from behind and jumping off the machine, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Drove off

The man, who was in his late teens then remounted the motorbike and drove off towards Kidderminster centre. The one assaulting the woman was wearing a camouflage jacket, whilst the other was bald.

The police would like to hear from an elderly couple who were walking along the towpath at the time of the attack.
