McDonald's by the canal

BOATERS fancying a Big Mac whilst passing through Stratford, could have the chance if a proposal is allowed by the council.

The fast food chain McDonald's plans to open a massive 130 seater restaurant by the side of Stratford Canal, complete with canal-side patio, Roger Fox tells us.

All is not straight forward however, as this would bring even more traffic to an already heavily congested road, though in its favour a company spokesman pointed out that it would create around 85 jobs—full and part-time.

The proposed two storey restaurant is on the former site of Sims Garden Machinery, that is presently being utilised as  a pay and display car park.
