The Ark on L&L Canal

ANOTHER boat based art project—named the Ark, that is cruising the Leeds & Liverpool Canal showing films about people that have connections with the area around the waterway.

Inside the strange narrowboat is a screen on which five different films are being shown, as the boat moors at various locations, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Terraced house

The boat that represents a terraced house with a grass roof, started its journey at Blackburn and is travelling East along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

The idea is that it celebrates the industry, natural resources and communities of the area, showing that Lancashire had an important role in the industrial past.
