CaRT sells more boats

THE latest batch of boats belonging to Canal & River Trust going under the hammer are five Dutch barges.

These are of varying lengths and beams and are situated in London, and will be sold online by auction with the closing date 27th March, Geoff Low tells us.

The barges

The boats are 'Linkisi' 39m Dutch barge; 'Louisana' 39.7m Dutch barge; 'Martine' 36.87m Dutch barge; Dieu l'Avoulu' 40m Dutch barge; 'Niagra' 38.3m Dutch barge.

Owing to their weight the boats are VAT exempt, but there is a buyers premium of 16%. Viewing days are Monday 18th March 11am to 4pm and Tuesday 19th March: 9am to 1pm. Auctioneer GoIndustry (UK) Limited.
