REGULAR readers many remember that way back in June a boat sank in the Soar by Meadow Farm Marina, and we were told it was a hazard to boating.
Quick off the mark, keeping up with its quick removal of sunken boats, a couple of days later Canal & River Trust told us that the boat had been removed, Keith Gudgin reminds us.
Not removed
Yet we had one or two boaters telling us that there was a boat sunk in the Soar, and with no other details we understood it to be a different boat, as we had been told the one reported had been removed—but oh no it hasn't!
For CaRT told us yesterday (Wednesday) that the sunken boat, that was marked with buoys, has now broken loose with the markers no longer attached!
Pilot scheme
