TWO new work boats have been purchased to hold dredged material from the Cotswold Canals to help in its restoration.
The two boats, named Warp and Weft, that show a link with Stroud's historic mills and weaving industry were launched on the canal at Stroud by crane.
£15,000 grant
The boats were the result of an award of a £15,000 grant to the Cotswold Canals Trust specifically to purchase the two work boats.
The names of the boats were the result of a town council competition.
