THERE are many methods of being able to raise funds for the work of the RNLI, with a fish and chips canal cruise proving a most popular one.

It was the Barnoldswick Branch of the RNLI that held such a cruise for guests along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Music

This was held on board the Marton Emperor, with the supper followed by a Beetle Drive and music by Jamie Squires and his son, Jasper Squires.

Together with sponsorship by Foulridge Canal Cruises and Albert Road Fisheries, the cruise raised over £300 for the RNLI.
