A FIRE swept along a jetty at Barton Marina on the Trent & Mersey Canal yesterday, Friday, destroying boats in its path.
Four GRP Cruisers were lost, but the cause of the fire isn't known at this moment, Glenis Summers, who took the photograph, tells us.
No one injured
An air ambulance attended but it is not thought there was anyone injured, though very sad for those people who have lost their boats.
Canal & River Trust have closed off the canal for fear of contamination, so there is access either in or out for boats.
