Combined with a music festival it brings boats and people to the town with its free entry extravaganza, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Biggest ever
Organised by the Brighouse Business Initiative, with the support of the Calder Navigation Society, it runs over the Saturday and Sunday with the organisers promising the combined Canal, Beer and Music Festival will be 'bigger and better' than ever.
In addition to the boats on the waterway and the free cruises, there will be five stages offering a variety of entertainment with over 30 acts and music for all tastes including a brass band, jazz and pop, as well as street entertainment in the town and many free activities.
There will be a massive street market with the promise of over 80 stalls and the Yorkshire Classic Car Club displaying around 40 vehicles and even rides on a steam train.
