TODAY'S waterway closure is on the Leicester Section of the Grand Union Canal—Lock 3.
The information from Canal & River Trust is somewhat sparse, but we are told it is vandalism that has damaged the lock beam, not because it is rotten, Keith Gudgin tells us.
Nothing until Friday
We are informed though that it will be Friday before anything can be done, though this means that anyone from the big marinas such as Crick will have no access either to the Main Line or the Oxford Canal whilst it is closed.
Lock 3 is of course part of Watford Flight, which is not mentioned.
