THE Canal & River Trust understood the daubing with paint of a narrowboat took place a while back, and was reported.
However it states that obviously any vandalism should be taken seriously and reported to the police straight away, with Ian Lane, West Midlands Waterway Manager at the Trust, responding:
Completely unacceptable
"I am appalled by this vandalism. This sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable and I would encourage boaters to report acts like this to the police so they can take appropriate action.
"The canals and rivers are enjoyed by a wide range of people but a few bad apples can spoil things for everyone."
