THE all-day opening of the Newark Office of the Canal & River Trust didn't last very long—it now closes at 12 noon on working days.
The all-day opening of the office at the Kiln on the Trent at Newark was announced with the usual 'bells and whistles' a few months ago, but alas it did not last, Keith Gudgin tells us.
Only reason
The only reason for its shortened hours is: 'Due to the Financial Year End, we are having to close our reception to customers from 12:00pm onwards'.
