THE emergency services were in evidence between bridges 64 and 65 at Oxley on the Staffs & Worcester Canal yesterday, Thursday.
A man jumped off the ex-railway viaduct, now carrying a footpath, and landed on the towpath, Orph Mable tells us.

The police have not yet release particulars, but it is understood that (subject to coroners verdict) it was a suicide.
