Boat closes K&A

A BOAT has damaged the top gate of Bedwyn Church Lock (64) on the Kennet & Avon Canal with the waterway closed at this point.
The boat damaged the top gate which is now inoperable from today (Wednesday) Keith Gudgin tells us.
The damage to the lock gate, which is at the bottom of the the Crofton Flight leading to the top pound, is being inspected and a further notice will be issued.
