Another Devizes drowning

THE body of a 44 years old man was discovered in the Kennet & Avon canal in Devizes on Friday morning, the third in the past few months.

The body was found close to the wharf early in the morning and delayed the start of the Devizes to Westminster canoe race whilst police carried out investigations, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Boaters

The past two drownings were of boaters, but as the name of the deceased has not yet been released, it is not known if this too is a boater.

The police are asking boaters however if they saw anything suspicious.
