MARPLE FLIGHT ON THE Peak Forest Canal will be open for one day only.

Caused by lack of water, Keith Gudgin reports.

The Marple Flight is open tomorrow, Thursday 6th from 9am until 1pm, and boaters must ensure that all boats have exited the flight by 4pm, with the trust telling: Providing the final opportunity for boats to pass through the flight.

Bosley Flight

And there are restrictions on the Bosley Flight on the Macclesfield Canal, with it closed, again due to low water levels.

The trust's team is working to replenish the canal pounds, but it may take a few days for water levels to recover, but is open Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Both flights will remain locked between these operating hours to help retain water.
