THE LOW LANE Swing Bridge on the New Junction Canal is closed.
Due to a fault with the barriers, Keith Gudgin reports.
The New Junction Canal has only a few powered bridges, yet they are all too often closed.
Closed five times
They being closed five times over the last two months with one problem or another.
The stoppage this time is caused at Low Lane Swing Bridge 2.
However contractors are on site today, Wednesday, so there is the possibility that the bridge will reopen later today.
