Email: Few and far between

WANTING to blow the cobwebs away I have tramped the towpaths of various parts of the Trent & Mersey Canal over the past three days as I want to produce a blog of pictures.

Having a new professional Canon, I wanted to try it out in various situations on the canal so tramped quite a few miles after driving to locations in Stoke and down towards Middlewich.

During three days and an estimated  12 hours on the towpaths I counted a total of 37 people, 11 dogs and two cyclists.  What I am getting at is that figure of all those millions of visitors to the canals is pure hogwash, they are obviously not counted in the winter but in the summer then multiplied by the number of days in the year.
