Takes some believing

IT TAKES some believing that cover of the booklet by Canal & River Trust in your Victor column advertising the famous Bingley Five Locks, writes James Henry.

Not only does it show lock gates in dire need of maintenance, leaking like a sieve, but the often quoted 'no-no' of a angler fishing from the lock moorings!

Common sense?

Okay, so it was a artists' impression I presume, but hadn't anyone at CaRT the common sense to realise what a mess it was and what sort of a message it gave out?

The message that the waterways are in dire need of maintenance and the rules about angling are clearly ignored.

Or perhaps it was someone who actually wanted to 'do a narrowboatworld' and 'tell it like it is'.
