Two weeks Broads festival

Published: Wednesday, 01 May 2013

THE third Broads Outdoors Festival which features 70 special events over more than two weeks is to be launched tomorrow, Thursday 2nd May at How Hill National Nature Reserve.

We are told that from 10am to 12.15pm a flavour of the festival will be captured at scenic How Hill Staithe where some of the organisations running events will be exhibiting their canoes, bicycles, a tipi, rowing machine and a windmill with giant insects and birds flitting about.

Wildlife water trail

The Broads Authority's electric launch will be taking guests on a wildlife water trail.

The festival is organised by the Broads Authority and Broads Tourism and sponsored by Archant and Hoseasons.

Katie Hanger, Hoseasons UK boating manager, explained:

"Here at Hoseasons we are excited to sponsor the third Broads Outdoors Festival this year. We are passionate about supporting the Broads especially as it is where Hoseasons humble origins began back in 1944.

"The two-week festival is a great opportunity to highlight the fun and adventure everyone can have on and off the water; from boating holidays, cycling, walking, bird watching or even canoeing. The festival is a great way to encourage visitors and locals to explore Britain's Magical Waterland."

Directions: How Hill is near the village of Ludham, NR29 5PG.
