Sunk boat closes Caen Hill

A NARROWBOAT has sunk in one of the Caen Hill Flight locks on the Kennet & Avon Canal.

The entire flight was closed yesterday (Wednesday) after the sinking  with of course no one allowed to use the flight. Photograph by Alistair Swatridge of narrowboat Qisma.

An attempt

An attempt is to be made to remove the sunken craft within the next few days when the equipment can be brought in, though a crane may be needed.
