Email: Confused and bemused

Published: Thursday, 20 September 2012
I am rather confused and bemused about the recent contribution from Bob Hallam Vegetation 'control' and continuous cruisers.

I think he is saying that he wants our licence to clearly state if we are continuous cruisers or have a home mooring. Why? Is this so that he can pursue some sort of personal vendetta against continuous cruisers?

He also claims that continuous cruisers moor 'just off' the official moorings and water points!

Well Bob, we often moor right on the official visitor moorings because we are allowed to! We pay the same licence fee as Bob and are absolutely entitled to use the same visitor moorings. The only thing we are (probably) not allowed to do is to bridge hop, whilst those with a home mooring can do this!

And as for mooring 'just off' water points; this is rubbish, many many
official visitor moorings are 'just off' the water points.

I rather think that Bob wanted to find some evil continuous cruisers moored on a water point but failed, so thought he would complain about the continuous cruisers.  NOT on a water point.

Please stop printing this nonsense!
