TWO BBC Radio Leeds presenters have finished their 127 miles pedalo marathon, raising over £40,000 for Sport Relief.

The ten day effort by Adam Pope and Katherine Hannah, pedalling a Swan shaped pedalo took in the whole of the length of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, from Liverpool to Leeds, where they finished at 6.30pm yesterday (Friday).

Entire length

The marathon effort pedalling the Swan-shaped pedalo, named Grace the Swan, the entire length of the waterway resulted in the pair being invited to a civic reception in view of the huge sum they raised.

The end of their journey was at Granary Wharf in the centre of Leeds with a huge crowd waiting to greet the pair, with James Toseland, former World super bike champion, waving the chequered flag.

The pair were overwhelmed by the support they had received along the waterway, together with the generosity of the people giving to Sport Relief.
