Help wanted over boater's death

WARWICKSHIRE Police have told us they would like to hear from boaters who cruised the Stratford-Upon-Avon Canal between Lock 50 and Bridge 62A, or anyone who moored alongside the canal in the vicinity on Saturday 6th August.

This is the section which carries Bishopton Lane over the canal, and where the body of 28 years old boater Adam Lobb was found in the waterway, and they are asking the boating community for help.

Living on boat

Adam was believed to have been living on a small blue fibre-glass river cruiser (pictured below) which was in poor condition, moored on that section of the Stratford-Upon-Avon Canal.

Anyone who saw anything unusual, or who has any information which may help the police in their investigation to establish information about Adam's lifestyle, or how he came to be in the water, is asked to contact Warwickshire Police on 01926 415247 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where information can be given anonymously.

Police are treating Adam's death as unexplained at this time.
