Loire Valley water in the Cotswold Canals

A BOTTLE of Loire Valley water has been poured into the derelict Cotswold Canals to mark a visit by a French delegation.

This was by a group on an information exchange visit to learn about the Cotswold Canals restoration project, as a similar project is underway at the Loire Valley's Canal de Berry and a return visit is scheduled for June.

The symbolic gesture was made at Wallbridge, near Stroud. It is hoped the exchange of ideas may help to release European funding.
