THE ROCHDALE CANAL IS CLOSED due to 'heavy boating use' Canal & River Trust claim.
The result being this has left the pounds from Lock 25 to Lock 30, at Todmorden with low water levels, Keith Gudgin reports.
The trust stating:
Navigation closed
'The navigation is closed from Lock 25 to Lock 30 due to heavy boat use yesterday making the pounds too low for navigation. We need to refill them to make the level sufficient for boat movement.
The team will be closely monitoring the water levels and will update the notice when it has recovered'.
