THE LEICESTER SECTION of the Grand Union Canal has been suffering recently.
And now the Watford Flight is closed, Keith Gudgin reports.
In the past it has various dry pounds that have closed this waterway Canal & River Trust maintaining it is a underwater obstruction.
Dislodged
Then going on to tell 'the buffer protecting the top cill of Lock 2 (at the bottom of the Watford lock flight of the Leicester Line ) has been dislodged and is posing a health and safety risk to boaters using the navigation'.
The locks from 1 to 7 of the flight are closed to navigation.
