Not quite the same

A CHARITY bike ride to Venice—with a difference—has been completed by students to raise cash for the Canal Boat Project.

The difference being that they never left their premises, doing the 962 miles on exercise bikes, Alan Tilbury tells us.

In fact not a single student did the distance, just a number of them doing six hours each.  However they did raise £730, and the charity was not too bothered how it was raised!

Lee & Stort

The Canal Boat Project, is a charity that provides opportunities for anyone with a disability to cruise  the Lee and Stort  waterways.

Doreen Goodall from the project, who took part herself explained:

"Every penny the students raised will go towards the provision and maintenance of our four accessible canal boats, enabling us to ensure that the disabled have the same access to our beautiful countryside as anyone else."
