Why not more Standedge boats?

MEMBERS of the Huddersfield Canal Society are concerned that though £32 millions were spent on restoring the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and Standedge Tunnel, only nine boats a week are allowed passage.

Yesterday's organisation

I READ with some interest the piece 'IWA pinch our slogan!' from Allan Richards. It reminded me of a comment by the late Mandy Rice Davies who died last month. Which I shall paraphrase as 'the IWA would do that wouldn't they!' Writes Mick Fitzgibbons.
