IN ADDITION TO THE RECENT stoppages on the Trent & Mersey Canal Canal comes another.
Trent & Mersey
It's through lack of water with a former closure between locks 67 to 70 now extended. Keith Gudgin reports.
This is now extended to include lock 71.
Calder & Hebble Navigation
There is another further closure on the Calder & Hebble Navigation.
This is Ganny Lock 12 that has been closed, we are told, due to a technical issue, and the lock will remain closed until the necessary repairs have been completed.
Now Open
Grand Union Canal
The trust's engineers have completed repairs to the back pump at Stoke Hammond Lock 23 on the Grand Union Canal. Water levels have now recovered and the navigation is open.
The lock was closed due to low water levels caused by a faulty back pump.
Leeds & Liverpool Canal
Several sections of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal are now open, with operating arrangements in place. Gargrave to Bank Newton is now open, operating daily between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
Bingley Five Rise & Three Rise (pictured) flights are also now open today, Monday, The Bingley Five Rise and Three Rise lock flights are now open, as of Monday 24 August.
They are open to navigation on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday but at restricted times.
Montgomery Canal
Water has returned to operational levels. Welshpool Lock is open to navigation but Belan and Pool Quay Locks will remain locked and sealed until the filling of pounds.
