IN ADDITION TO THE many stoppages caused by lack of water comes other stoppages adding to boaters' woes.
These were stoppages needing repairs, Keith Gudgin reports.
Leicester Section
The Leicester Section of the Grand has a stoppage at Zouch Lock 55 while emergency repairs are carried out to the lock gates.
So the lock on the river section is currently not operational owing to repairs. But we are not told what these are.
Leeds & Liverpool Canal
The Wigan Flight on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal is closed to navigation.
This is due to the head cill at lock 69 becoming detached. The local team will inspect the damage and plan a method of repair.
North Stratford Canal
The North Stratford Canal is closed at Lapworth Top Lock 2.
The lock is inoperable due to a fault with the offside top-end paddle.
With this time a reactive team are attending today, Friday, to assess the issue and attempt repairs.

Severn Navigation
The work on Upper Lode Lock on the Severn has been repaired.
It is now open to navigation. It was currently closed due to the lock gate failure.
