THE refurbishment of the Boatyard Inn at Riley Green on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal is to include a microbrewery.
The Chorley pub will also be re-named as the Grill and Grain at the Boatyard when it re-opens after its million pound refurbishment, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Special ales
The new microbrewery will produce special ales for the pub, with its equipment being imported from America. Searching for the best in grilled food and testing different methods, the pub has decided that open fire cooking methods are the best, and that is to be offered to its customers.
The whole pub is being refurbished, with a completely new restaurant and more outdoor seating. There will also be six guest rooms.
