THE former Yorkshire Post site in Leeds by the Aire & Calder Navigation is to be developed in an attempt to transform another part of the waterfront of the city.
There is a 14 strong team that has produced plans that will 'harness the qualities of the Aire and introduce more waterside public realm in the city' Alan Tilbury tells us.
800 homes
This new scheme, that received outline planning consent earlier this year will include 800 homes plus 234 student apartments and extensive commercial space. The plans include 'urban squares and semi-private courtyards' created we are told for people to meet and socialise.
The plans also incorporate office space, cafés, a hotel and bars plus a new multi-storey car park, with a terrace overlooking the water.
