CROPREDY Marina on the Oxford Canal has gained planning permission for a further 100 berths.
Planning Permission was granted on Friday (28th October) by Cherwell District Council that approved extending the marina to provide another 100 berths, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Third basin
The marina, that was opened in 2013, already houses 249 berths in two basins, with these plans giving it a third basin, with a total of course of 349 berths.
However concerns have been voiced that the application was agreed despite concerns that there are a number of berths with boats occupied by people living there permanently, that is in breach of planning rules.
