THE water point at Tyle Mill on the Kennet & Avon Canal is our of action as the tap is missing, and was first thought to have been stolen.
It was realised that it was missing when a boater arrived at the tap to fill his boat's tank and realised the tap was no longer there, Keith Gudgin tells us.
Thames Water
This happened yesterday (Wednesday), but after making enquiries Canal & River Trust were told that Thames Water had removed it as there was a leak in the system.
It is of course our of action until it can be replaced, but it is expected that the leak will be repaired and the tap replaced this Friday.
