The derelict lime kilns at Tardebigge on the Worcester & Birmingham Canal have been adopted by the local canal society with a view to their restoration.
The Worcester, Birmingham & Droitwich Canal Society has adopted the lime kilns with the intention of restoring and conserving them for future generations.
Work parties
The Society now holds work parties at the kilns with its volunteers busy working on the remaining structure.
It is hoped that the society can obtain money from the Heritage Lottery Fund to help with the work of the restoration, with an application being prepared.
