I am sorry to to contradict Edwin Deacon when he says that Canal & River Trust can count the 10,000 that go to Crick Show as visitors to the towpath, as they are not.
The show is in a field by the marina, and anyone wanting to visit the towpath has to cross over a bridge that is manned by security before they can reach the actual towpath and be regarded as a visitor.
I have visited the show for many years, but only once have been over the bridge, but the line of traditional boats are of little attraction, as the number of other visitors (one) clearly showed.
