The Leeds & Liverpool Canal Methodist Swing Bridge (15) at Maghull is now operational again.
The faulty parts that caused the bridge to be closed on Tuesday have now been replaced and the navigation is open, Keith Gudgin tells us.
Caldon Canal
There is no intimation however that the Caldon Canal closed by the failure of a lock ladder at Hazelhurst Top Lock at its junction with the Leek Branch, has been repaired.
