When only a single paddle...

AS VICTOR stated during his recent cruise, when there is only a single paddle working, it brings stoppage that much nearer—or words to that effect.

And a single paddle working on one of the locks on the Watford Flight on the Grand Union Canal has proved the point, as Keith Gudgin tells us it has failed.

So its failure means that today, Monday, Watford Flight is closed to boating whilst it is sorted out.
