YET ANOTHER VEHICLE STRIKE closes a bridge to navigation.
This time it is a bridge on the Lancaster Canal, Keith Gudgin reports.
Ratcliffe Bridge 75 was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday of this week and the canal closed to navigation ever since.
Debris from bridge
This is of course due to the debris from the bridge that has fallen into the canal and is too much of a problem to allow navigation.
The Canal & River Trust teams are at present on site removing the remaining blocks and railings that fell into the navigation when the vehicle hit the bridge.
The works however are expected to be completed by tomorrow, Saturday, 8th November, when the navigation will be reopened to navigation.
