Another L&L death

THIS time it was tragically an 11 years old young boy who fell into the Leeds & Liverpool Canal at Burnley yesterday (Tuesday).

Though the towpath walker who pulled him from the water knew CPR and attended to him whilst the paramedics arrived, he was pronounced dead later in hospital, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Crossing on a pipe

The police explained that the the boy had been trying to cross the waterway on a pipe, when he lost his balance and fell in the water, unable to get out.

It was then the walker dragged him out and started CPR to attempt to revive him. He was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
