It was Victor who wrote of the trust blaming others for stoppages of two navigations, one blaming a boat hitting a lock causing the balance beam to break and then need braces, that of course is impossible.
And the other closed by vandals, as is the new stoppage on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal at Barrowford Flight, with the top and bottom locks now padlocked.
It is Lock 46 on the flight that has caused the closure, but not told what was the cause.
Not an easy repair
Our just being told that the local team have visited the lock but it is not an easy repair,.
Meaning that an assessment is being made before a repair can proceed.
In its stoppage notice, the trust first told is was suspected vandalism and later that it was due to vandalism...
