Biggest hotel boat

CLAIMED to be the biggest hotel boat on the inland waterways, Wessex Rose is now working the Kennet & Avon Canal.

At the maximum 70ft in length by 12ft 6in beam it is the brain-child of the Milburn family, and has been launched in time for this year's season, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Luxury

It has been created to carry just a small select number of passengers, in luxury, with just three en-suite cabins and a large saloon and all facilities including Wi Fi throughout the boat, satellite television with recorder in each cabin complete with DVD player.

The rooms include a shower and heated towel rail, under floor heating with individual cabin thermostats, tea and coffee making facilities and even luxury bedding including Egyptian cotton sheets,  fluffy white towels, robes and slippers.

Luxury indeed!
