Droitwich boating festival

THE Annual St Richard's Festival and Classic Car Rally held at Droitwich will this year include boats and a flotilla of boats making it a combined boating festival.

IN addition to the boats the event brings together a host of medieval entertainment and activities along with street markets and a large display of classic and vintage cars, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Droitwich Canal

This year it will take place across the town and the Droitwich Canal from Friday, 4th May to Monday 6th May, with the boats organised by the Droitwich Canal Society. The picture show the crowds at the opening ceremony of the canal.

This means that for the first time the event will run over three days offering a greater range of attractions for residents and visitors alike, with boats on display every day plus the flotilla of boats, that will leave the basin at noon on the Saturday.
