NABO should nominate for CART

MANY years ago the Inland Waterways Association made it plain that they were not an organisation for boaters, writes Chris Potter.

At a national event they facilitated and assisted a group of members who formed the National Association of Boat Owners. (NABO) At the time as a member of the Royal Yachting Association I questioned the need for yet another boaters organisation.

Came to nothing

The Royal Yachting Association at that time was keen to attract inland boaters and I volunteered to assist them but it all came to nothing.

In retrospect as a representative organisation for inland boaters NABO have done a good job so they should be encouraged to put forward their own nominations for the Canal & River Trust.
