The poll is now closed

Published: Sunday, 11 December 2011

THE poll, asking if Evans, Hales & Co should remain in office when BW becomes Canal & River Trust has closed.

It ran for just over two days, but to make sure the articles, published on Sunday, by Victor Swift and Allan Richards had no bearing on the voting, it was withdrawn.

Not remaining in office

The results of the poll, was overwhelmingly in favour of the British Waterways people not remaining in office when British Waterways becomes the Canal & River Trust.

The actual results are shown in the screenshot of the page before the poll was stopped. (But note the clock is one hour out.)  On Sunday morning there was an outage of the site for around half an hour as the server could not cope, that further decided us to stop the poll.
